Nivel de conocimiento de las madres en salud bucal y el índice de caries de los niños de la Institución Educativa Inicial “Mi Pequeño Mundo” El Tambo – Junín, 2019

Abstract

La investigación tuvo como objetivo, determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de conocimiento de las madres en salud bucal y el índice de caries, de los niños de la Institución Educativa Inicial “Mi pequeño mundo” El Tambo – Junín, 2019. El diseño metodológico de la investigación responde al no experimental, de corte transversal. Se basa en el enfoque cuantitativo, de alcance descriptivo y correlacional; respondiendo a ser una investigación de tipo básica. Para ello, se utilizaron dos instrumentos validados; de acuerdo a las variables planteadas en la investigación. Se ha obtenido como resultado en la hipótesis contrastada, que la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento de las madres en salud bucal y el índice de caries de los niños según Rho de Spearman (-0.873**), se determina existe una correlación negativa y de magnitud alta. Asimismo con el nivel de significancia (sig. = 0.000), menor que el valor p = 0.05, se rechaza la hipótesis nula (Ho) y se acepta la hipótesis alternativa (Ha). Es decir, existe relación significativa negativa y de magnitud alta, entre el nivel de conocimiento de las madres en salud bucal y el índice de caries de los niños de la Institución Educativa Inicial “Mi pequeño mundo” El Tambo, Junín, 2019. Se concluye que el nivel de desconocimiento de las madres en salud bucal, incide en el alto índice de caries en los niños de tres a cinco años. The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers in oral health and the caries index of the children of the Initial Educational Institution "My little world" El Tambo - Junín, 2019. The methodological design of the research responds to the non-experimental, cross-sectional design. It is based on a quantitative approach, with a descriptive and correlational scope; responding to be a basic type investigation. For this, two validated instruments were used; according to the variables raised in the research. It has been obtained as a result in the contrasted hypothesis, that the relationship between the level of knowledge of the mothers in oral health and the caries index of the children according to Spearman's Rho (-0.873 **), it is determined that there is a negative correlation and of high magnitude. Likewise, with the level of significance (sig. = 0.000), less than the value p = 0.05, the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In other words, there is a significant negative and high-magnitude relationship between the level of knowledge of mothers in oral health and the caries index of the children of the Initial Educational Institution "My little world" El Tambo, Junín, 2019. It is concluded that the level of ignorance of mothers in oral health, affects the high rate of cavities in children from three to five years.
